Family Night a little bit ago...
The kids were picking on each other (unfortunately that is NOT unusual at our house). One of them sat too close to someone and wouldn't move over. A loud "discussion" ensued which succeeded in frustrating the parents and driving the spirit away.
All of a sudden one of the children got up and moved to the floor to stop the contention.
Robyn (grateful): Thank you, ______, for being a peacemaker!
Peacemaker child: Well, I had an ulterior motive. I knew that if I moved, I'd be able to get back to my homework sooner.
