Aimee (with a contented sigh): Maddie don't you just love it when mom puts goldfish in our lunch? It makes me so happy.
Maddie (a senior in high school): Yes. It takes me back to my childhood and right now, I'd rather be a child than grow up and be an adult.
Another day, Aimee and Maddie were listening to Michael Buble singing Christmas carols
Maddie: Ahhh, I just love his voice!
Aimee: Yeah, I know. If someone sings like this I don't even care WHAT he looks like. My insides just melt.
