Frozen

The other day the temperature outside was a whopping 8 degrees Fahrenheit. Dexter was going a little crazy cooped inside due to the extremely cold temperatures so Robyn decided to go for a run and take him along.

As she was running, she realizes that she seemed to be the only one crazy enough to be out in this weather. However, half-way through, she hears a crunching sound and speeds up thinking that someone is running behind her and she doesn't want to appear to be super slow.  Then she  turns to see who may be coming up behind her, but no one is there.  Dexter is beginning to look like Santa, a frosty beard hangs off his face.

She turns back forward and hears the same sound, looks back and still no one.  Finally, it dawns on her that there is no one coming up behind her, and  the sound she is hearing is due to the fact that her hair has frozen and there are icicles hanging on it and it is brushing against her jacket.  A little while later, her ear starts hurting and she reaches up to investigate and realizes that there are icicles hanging on her ear as well.

When she gets home, she immediately jumps in the shower to warm up, but the shower is freezing cold for the first little bit because she still has ice in her hair.

Robyn (to herself):  I don't trust your judgment.
