Friday night Rod and Robyn were going out on a date to a BYU basketball game. Someone at Rod's work had given him two tickets. He was excited to see his Lone Peakers play--three of them start on BYU's team.
At dinner
Rod (disappointedly): This isn't very good this time.
Robyn: I'm sorry. Mine tastes good. Do you want some of mine?
Rod: No.
Later trying to find parking
Robyn: Rod, I don't think we can park here.
Rod: Sure we can.
Robyn: The sign says no parking ANYTIME.
Rod (who usually prides himself on finding great parking is very frustrated): Fine. He moves the car unhappily and can't find a spot that is closer than a 10 minute walk.
On the way to the game
Robyn (trying to be optimistic about the long walk to the Marriot Center): Well, at least it's a nice night out. We can enjoy walking together... and walk off dinner.
Rod: Uh huh.
At the game the seats are behind the basketball hoop almost at the top.
Robyn: Can you point out Mikha to me or Haws?
Rod: I can't even see their numbers let alone their faces.
A few minutes later an older gentleman approaches
Gentleman: Are you two here by yourselves?
Rod (a little confused): Yes.
Gentleman (handing over some tickets): Here, go and enjoy the game.
Rod and Robyn surprised but realizing that any seat is probably better than where they are now, thank the man and head down the stairs. Their new seats are in the middle section only a few rows from the floor. They are awesome seats!!
Robyn (straining to look back to see if they can see the man, can't seem to find him). I'm not sure we thanked him properly. These are amazing seats! See Heavenly Father loves you.
Rod (smiling): Yes, He does. We need to go back and really thank that man at half-time.
At half-time
Rod and Robyn return to their previous seats but the man is no longer there. Rod looks all around hoping to find him.
Robyn (to herself): Heavenly Father, please bless that man for his kindness.
