The other day, Rod and Nate were taking Dexter on a walk.
Rod: Nate, go get Dex a ball so that we can play with it when we get to the park.
Nate runs into the house.
Nate: Maddie, where are Dexter's balls?
Maddie: Nate, don't you remember? They cut them off.
Nate (not understanding for a minute): Huh? Wha...? (suddenly hit by the light of comprehension) THAT'S not what I meant!!
