A great kid

Today at the 6th grade World Fair Mrs. Rose, Nate's teacher, quickly approaches Robyn and her friend Kelly.
Mrs. Rose:  I have to talk to you about your son.

Robyn (immediately wonders if she is referring to the part in his report on France that says the sculptor Rodin named his famous sculpture "the Thinker" because Rodin's last name is "Thinker") Oh really?

Mrs. Rose:  Yes.  He is a GREAT kid.

Robyn (somewhat but not completely surprised):  Yes.  He IS a great kid.

Mrs. Rose:  Let me tell you what he did.  Today, there was a girl walking down the hall carrying a big poster and some other things.  She was having a hard time juggling it all and your son ran up to her and asked if she needed help and carried her stuff for her.  Sixth grade boys just don't do that!   At best they would walk around her and try not to bump her, but he actually offered to help her.  That is a great kid.

Robyn (very pleased and proud).  Thank you for sharing that!
