General Conference and April Fools don't mix

Yesterday during General Conference after the choir had sung "Love at Home" and during one of the talks on love in the family, two of the children engage in a dispute over something very small which quickly escalates and banishes the Spirit to another part of the country.  These two children are given a one-way ticket to their rooms.

One of the children from her room (with a shriek):  SOMEONE PUT ICE CUBES IN MY BED!!!!

The other members of the family who were still attempting to watch Conference look at the only boy in the room with raised eyebrows.

Boy (with a sheepish grin, whispers):  April Fools!

The parents in the room suppress a smile and tell him to go clean it up.

Boy:  Well, Grace  did it too.

Parents:  Grace, go help him clean it up.

They leave with towels.

Bronte (the only child left in the room puts her hands over her head forming a halo):  And then there was one.

Upon re-entering the room where the parents are still trying to get something out of Conference

Boy:  Should I tell Maddie about her pants or let her find out on her own?

  1. Okay, tell me about the pants. . . We just did the fighting with fools, no pranks.

  2. I think that's why I found conference so uplifting this time...was driving back from a mission reunion ALONE:)
