Who are your ancestors?

Maddie had the opportunity to drive some Sr. citizens who were attending a conference around campus in a big van.

Old woman:  Dear, may I inquire about your ancestry?

Maddie:  Um, I'm not quite sure.  I don't do a lot of geneology.

Different old woman yelling from the back of the van:  She just wants to know if you're Mexican.

Maddie (politely):  Oh.  No. My family is from the British Isles. (to herself): What the heck? I'm as white as they come.
