In the car today, after Nate went to the doctor for a check-up and didn't have to have shots:
Nate: You know, we men have to get a lot of shots.
Grace: Nuh,uh women have to get more shots than men.
Nate: Well, we men get killed more.
Mom (thinking to herself): That's a conversation finisher, if I ever heard one.
Another day
Nate (complaining): Dad, do girls have to be first in EVERYTHING?
Rod: Yes.
Nate: That's not FAIR!!
Rod: Someday you'll understand.
Nate (after thinking a while): So do girls go first if a train is coming at us or if there is a battle, do they go to the front of the line?
