Last weekend after a long day, all Robyn wanted to do was lie on her bed and read the book she had just gotten from the library.
Maddie (who is very perceptive, stops Robyn on her way to her room ): Mom, I just feel like I want to spend time with you. How about right now we can do something together.
Robyn (torn between the book and her desire to be a good Mom): Right now?
Maddie: Yes. In fact, I was hoping that we could work on Personal Progress together. I think that three hours should do it (she adds with a tell-tale smirk).
Robyn (walking away after seeing the smirk): Nice one. Girl, you've got some skills.
Maddie (with pride): I know. I learned from the best. . .Grandma.
